Background: Historically, most caesarean delivery took place because of or in association with obstetric complications medical illness. However, rates elective primary deliveries no clear obstetrical indication are rising dramatically. The common for c-section include order frequency labor dystocia, abnormal indeterminate fetal heartrate tracing, malpresentation, multiple gestation, macrosomia. Many other factors that have contributed to the increasing rate improved surgical technique and patient demand pressure on caregivers practice “defensive medicine”. section is a matter international public health concern as it increases related maternal morbidity well cost care compared normal delivery. Methods: This study was carried out Department Obstetrics Gynecology at PDU Medical College Hospital Rajkot, Gujarat from January 2021 June 2022. Results: conducted 234 cases, percentage population Rajkot found be 2.96%. In this study, 38.46% patients belonged 26-30 year age group. 78.63% multigravida were 2nd 3rd para. There 41.45% cases underwent LSCS foetal distress, 12.39% antepartum haemorrhage, 12.82% malpresentation rest various indications. 33.33% Robson’s group 3, 26.92% included category 4a, 15.81% 4b. Among all 94.87% live births whereas 5.98% still births. Conclusions: unforeseen occur women who previously had vaginal It recommended antenatal must booked receive proper regular care.
